Óscar "El Conejo" Pérez was formed in Cruz Azul youth teams, club with which he made his debut and where he played a large part of his career. During his stay, his team won the Liga MX title of Winter 97, the last championship won by Cruz Azul and was the goalkeeper who defended the teams goal in the final of the Copa Libertadores 2001. The only time Cruz Azul has reached the final of the international tournament

The nickname is due to his incredible jumping ability and he can even touch the crossbar with one foot.

He has participated in three World Cups (in 1998 as third goalkeeper and in 2002 and 2010 as the first goalkeeper).

A FIFA Confederations Cup (1997).

He is recognized as the player with most matches in the Liga MX.

He has scored three goals in his entire career: in Mexico vs Korea (sub 23); another goal against Tecos witth Cruz Azul and the last one was against his former team, Cruz Azul (04/29/17) playing with Pachuca.
